Apologies. Refers to apologies received from Mrs A Chamier. 2. Aprroves and signs the minutes of the meetings held on 9 September 1970 and 14 October 1970. (a). Refers to a boy who was not able to visit his half-sister. (b). Refers to an individual who had not yet been traced. (c). Registration of Day Nurseries. Refers to an individual's wish to revise her application to be registered as a day nursery for a number of children due to her wish to daily mind another number of children only. Refers to a policy decision that a Certificate of Registration should be issued for the maximum number of children which could be accommodated in the premises to be used for child minding or day nurseries, subject to the individual applicant's qualifications and staff available. (d). Refers to the resignation of a member of Haut de la Garenne staff. (e). Home Office Report. Refers to the Education Committe's delay in their approval of an establishment of a hostel-cum-home for adolescent boys, and their decision to extend the system of boarding-out instead. Refers to the offer to foster parents of a total allowance of £15.0.0. a week to compensate for the additional responsibility of looking after boys with behavioural problems or boys on probation. 3. Children's Officer's Report. Refers to a total of 242 children cared for, and the supervision of 43 children in private placements at no financial cost to the States of Jersey.
