Scope and Content

3. (b). Notes recommendation from the Medical Officer of Health that a child currently boarded out with an individual would benefit intellectually and emotionally from attendance of a day nursery or play group. Refers to the recommendation the child should attend a day nursery on five mornings a week for a trial period of three months at a cost of 30/- a week to be charged to the Children Boarded Out Vote. 4. Recommends that the Education Committee apply to the Royal Court for Parental Rights Orders for a number of children, noting abandonment by parents and inadequate care by parents. 5. Recommends that an application for a Parental Rights Order be made for several children, referring to the opinion of Dr M [Maureen] J Collins of the Psychiatric Clinic and mental health. Refers to a case in which the Sub-Committee decide there is insufficient evidence to support M [Maureen] J Collins' recommendation. 6. Considers an application submitted by an individual for the registration of a day nursery, and a report from the Chief Fire Officer. Notes that the premises are unsuitable, and therefore recommends the refusual of the individual's application. 7.
