Refers to Witness 125 having a fight with another resident, detailing response by the member of staff to incident. Refers a brief account written in the report book about the incident, noting that Witness 125's glasses were broken during the fight. Notes that punishment for both boys was payment for Witness 125's glasses and to go without television and supper for 3 nights. Details Witness 125's reaction to being told his punishment, noting destruction of property and attempts to calm him. Notes that Witness 125 also brandished a knife, leading to involvement of a senior female member of staff. Notes that Witness 125 put the knife down when the senior staff member entered the playroom and spoke to Witness 125. Includes a note in manuscript by Jim Thomson noting that that staff are not allowed withhold food from children as punishment by law.
