Refers to Witness 215 requesting to attend Haut de la Garenne in 1975 due to having several friends who were resident there, noting that he attended for a period of three months. States that Witness 215 did not witness any abuse whilst resident at Haut de la Garenne, despite being mentioned by another resident as a witness to him being abused. Claims to have been verbally and emotionally abused by a member of staff, being forced to clean the laundry room several times. Describes being physically abused by a member of staff at Les Chênes, stating to have been assaulted once or twice a week during his time at Les Chênes. Includes descriptions of physical abuse, noting lack of witnesses to abuse. Describes being forced to carry out an abundance of manual labour, recalling various examples of this. States to have suffered emotional abuse whilst at Les Chênes as a result of the points system which would result in physical abuse or revocation of privileges including home visits as punishment for misbehaviour.
