1. Memorandum from a member of Dunluce staff at Haut de la Garenne to Children's Officer T W Strettle, and Officers concerned. Lists residents at Haut de la Garenne, including Witness 216, who were visited by Centenier Germain and the Police after three residents were discovered to be out of bounds and carrying improvised weapons. Refers to the mutiny of the seven residents listed, including Witness 216, at Haut de la Garenne due to their perceptions regarding their treatment at Haut de la Garenne, mentioning the attendance of the Constable and members of the Police. 2. Memorandum from CCO [Child Care Officer] H [Hal] Coomer to Children's Officer T Strettle concerning the disturbance at Haut de la Garenne on the evening of 10 August [September] 1984. Provides details regarding the incident, and describes the boys involved. Describes Witness 216, noting his age, and usual behaviour. Provides defence for the staff member receiving most complaints from the residents, and lists complaints put forward. Notes Witness 216's annoyance at being told off for returning late when another resident was not, despite returning later. Refers to Witness 216's involvment in an incident concerning his brother, two Policemen, and the washing up. Notes that Witness 216 was instructed by the member of staff to go supperless for a week.
