Provides details of the social and medical background of Witness 85's family, mentioning mother's admission into Care as a child, Witness 85 and her siblings' admissions to foster care, and the Maternity Hospital. Refers to the Obstetric Clinic, and the weight of one of Witness 85's mother's children at birth, noting neglect of an adequate diet, alcohol, smoking, and a lack of rest during pregnancy. Refers to the birth of a child in an ambulance on the way to the Maternity Hospital. Notes attempts to review the underweight child's progress via the Outpatient Department at the General Hospital, also mentioning the health visitor, and the Infant Welfare Clinic. Notes child's admission to the General Hospital at the request of Dr Rymer due to poor condition, also mentioning parents' own difficulties.
