Refers to a prisoner about to complete a four year sentence and expected to be released from custody on 27 August 1988. Provides details of the the prisoner's arrest in Jersey during 1985, and his cohabitation with a mother of children from several marriages. Refers to the [mother's] death, and the admission into Care of children [including Witness 154] into Care, mentioning a placement at the Group Home at 9 Blanche Pierre Close, Le Squez [Blanche Pierre Family Group Home] under the care of Houseparents [Jane and Alan] Maguire. Refers to letters received by the Children's Office from the prisoner following [the mother's death], mentioning the break up of the family, the unhappiness of the children, and the prisoner's intention to care for his children upon his release from prison. Comments on the mental health of the prisoner, and states that the Children's Office will not allow the children to be cared for by him. Mentions that the children do not remember the man. Notes instruction to [Jane and Alan] Maguire to refuse entry to [Blanche Pierre] to the prisoner, and to alert the Police should the prisoner arrive at the property. Mentions discussion with the Crown Offices regarding the possibility of taking out an injunction on the prisoner.
