Refers to the boys' dormitory on the top floor of Sacre Ceour, and the girls' dormitory on a lower floor. Mentions the eating area on the ground floor. Recalls that if a child was ill or naughty they would be taken with their bed and locked in a room on their own. Recalls being punished by being placed in the room when Witness 814 had run away. Recalls crying whilst stuck in the room, and being visited by nuns who would give him a bowl of soup and dry bread. Recalls serving as an altar boy in the Chapel at Sacre Coeur. Recalls attending St Thomas' Church for Mass on Sundays, followed by Benediction in the evening. Comments that although his sister was also placed at Sacre Coeur, they did not have much contact due to the policy of the segregation of girls and boys. Describes emotional abuse, physical abuse and neglect used as forms of punishment by nuns at Sacre Coeur. Recalls sexual abuse by a man who had a workship in the grounds at Sacre Coeur. Refers to father's desertion prior to Witness 814's birth, and Witness 814 and his sister being placed at Sacre Coeur due to their mother's inability to cope. Refers to mother's employment in England, marriage, and return to Jersey to take Witnes 814 and his sister out of Care.
