Items include: (k) agreement to meet biannually at Hautlieu, Rouge Bouillon, St Helier Boys' and St Helier Girls' Schools; (5) approval of the minutes of the Children's Section Sub-Committee dated 10 February 1960; (7) authorisation of the Children's Officer or Child Care Officer to act on it sbehalf as guardian ad litem upon the hearing of an adoption application; (8) approval of recommendations for structural alterations at the Jersey Home for Boys and Girls; (9) granting of special leave with pay to a female staff member; (10) arrangements with the National Foundationa for Educational Research for two surveys to be carried out in Jersey; and (11) decision to enter into a lease of land at Mont Cantel with Mr Le Huquet for a period of 12 months. Item 5 also refers to consideration of the decision to replace staff at Westaway Crèche and agreement that the charge to the Constables and others responsible for the children accommodated in Family Group Home should be on the same scale as the Boarding Out Allowance. Also includes Item 6 relating to a decision to ask the Housing Committee whether it would be prepared to building a suitably designed house on a new estate for sale to the Committee as a Family Group Home.
