Digital copy of a Case Note by a Child Care Officer concerning a telephone call from Senator John Ellis regarding Witness 167. [Some details redacted]. For Witness 167's Witness Statements to the States of Jersey Police, see C/D/AW1/B1/2/2/12.
February 1st 1982 - February 8th 1982
|Scope and Content|
Refers to suggestion by Senator Ellis that Witness 167 be placed at the Jersey Association of Youth and Friendship Girls' Hostel Camelot because he felt she was unhappy at Haut de la Garenne. Notes that Senator Ellis stated that he did not know much about Witness 167 but was prepared to make the suggestion of a move. Notes that neither Witness 167 nor Haut de la Garenne supported the claim about her unhappiness at the Home and a question about Witness 167's involvement with a family and conduct. Includes a note to B C [Brenda Chappell] regarding consideration of setting up a Case Review on Witness 167 in light of suggestions/allegations in order to ascertain Witness 167's behaviour and movements at Haut de la Garenne. Includes a response by Mrs Chappell dated 8 February 1982 agreeing and requesting arrangement and a note about a Case Review being set for 18 February.
