Scope and Content | Refers to correspondence addressed to Sergeant Andy Smith of the Criminal Investigation Department at Rouge Bouillon Police Station regarding disclosure of information in relation to Leslie Hughes. Confirms that States of Jersey Police will not reopen criminal investigations into Leslie Hughes in relation to the allegation made by Witness 253 at this time. Confirms Leslie Hughes' appearance before the Royal Court dated 9 October 1989, and 18 month imprisonment for indecent assault on Witness 253. Refers to Leslie Hughes' behaviour as described by Witness 253. Notes that Witness 253 was not called as a witness to the court case during 1989, but that Witness 253 did provide an account in a Police Officer's pocket notebook that was countersigned. Notes that the current policy on the disclosure of Police pocket notebooks precludes Louise Richardson being provided with a copy of the document. |
