Scope and Content

Refers to the Education Committee considering the recommendation of the Children's Sub-Committee that [Barrie John Ford] should be admitted for education to a school at a cost of £630 per annum, noting agreement by the St Helier Assistance Board to continue weekly payments for him. Outlines the [Education] Committee's reluctance to accept responsibility for the cost of his education until it had been ascertained whether he could be suitably education in classes at St Helier Boys' School, noting decision that he should be admitted to St Helier Boys' School on trial for one term before his case is reconsidered.
