Describes interviewing [Barrie John Ford] on 11 June 1963 in the presence of his houseparents. Refers [Barrie] being in care at Haut de la Garenne and his attendance at St Martin's Central School. Includes an assessment of [Barrie's] emotional state, reference to him having a speech speech difficulty, and reference to a conversation with him about life at Haut de la Garenne and at school. Includes remarks about his relationship with his grandmother and with his father. Provides results of tests in respect of reading ability, intelligence, mental age and mental arithmetic. Includes a positive assessment of the relationship between [Barrie] and his houseparents, comments about him being happy and secure in his school environment with secure relationships with staff and children. Advises against [Barrie's] transfer from St Martin's [School] to St Helier Boys' School, citing security and remarks about his ability to adapt to a change of school environment and develop new relationships with stafff and children.
