Describes being assulted by an individual after he was accused of insulting the man's wife's cooking. Recalls being hit with a large ladle or serving spoon by a teacher on duty at school during dinner times as punishment for eating incorrectly or talking. Describes feeling unloved, unwanted and victimised whilst at this non-Jersey institution. Refers to return to Jersey, noting that he was placed into Haut de la Garenne before being transferred to Heathfield when Haut de la Garenne closed. Describes an incident where he was physically assaulted whilst resident at Heathfield Children’s Home.
