• Email titled Historic Abuse Extremely Important sent at 13:32 on 7 November 2008 from Advocate Stephen Baker, Partner, BakerPlatt to William Bailhache, Timothy Le Cocq (Solicitor General), copying in John Edmonds and Simon Thomas. Sets out details of his understanding of the position with regards to: the States of Jersey Police and a proposed press release in respect of the Chief Officer [Graham Power] and the briefing of States members and the local media about the proposed press release and subsequent media and political reaction to the news. Includes comments about the response and actions of the Chief Officer to the proposed press release. Also sets out details of a potential development regarding information relating to the relationship between [Lenny] Harper and the press, and describes hearing that a BBC journalist was given the papers in the case involving [the Houseparents of a Family Group Home], noting possibility that data protection offences had been committed. Also refers to the apparent removal of day books from Jersey by Harper. • Email titled RE: Historic Abuse Extremely Important sent at 15:30 on 7 November 2008 from John Edmonds to Stephen Baker.
