Provides background information including an overview of his career in the United Kingdom. Describes the application process for the role of Head of Operations at the States of Jersey Police and involvement in a number of matters including bullying and police corruption upon his arrival in Jersey. Includes remarks about the role of the States of Jersey Police in compairson with the Honorary Police, concerns and difficulties with the Honorary Police and action taken to address need for change in relation to the Honorary Police. Refers to his promotion in 2003 to Deputy Chief Officer and focus on child abuse investigations. Comments on the relationship between the States of Jersey Police and other government departments including the Children's Service. Includes details about the investigation surrounding the Jersey Sea Cadets as part of Operation Ore and the Victoria College investigation, as well as other case reviews relating to Thomas Hamon and David Powell and Rommeril [Paul Romeril].
