Refers to placement at Les Chênes by the courts in 1982 for a period of two years, mentioning involvement in breaking and entering offences. Includes recollections of his arrival at and introduction to Les Chênes, mentioning placement into the secure unit, commenting on lack of facilities and amenities. Includes recollections of other residents and staff at Les Chênes including [Witness 246] and Mario Lundy, stating that Lundy was known as the pinball wizard. Includes comments about a number of incidents involving inappropriate or abusive behaviour by staff at Les Chênes, recalling being made to strip in front of a female staff member and two incidents involving [Witness 246]. Refers to an incident where [Witness 246] drove erratically and then took points off him for swearing, and a second incident where [Witness 246] poured chocolate mousse over his head in front of other residents. Also includes recollections of two members of staff including Lundy, remarking on their temperaments. Recalls Lundy physically abusing residents by means of pinballing, recalling that both would cane children as punishment. Recalls that residents including himself would self harm whilst at Les Chênes. Describes involvement in therapy in later life, includes reflections on his time at Les Chênes and refers to contact with Lennie [Lenny] Harper. Finishes with a recollection another incident whereby he was physically assaulted by another member of staff at Les Chênes in the dining room.
