• Article on BBC News dated 6 December 2010 titled Jersey Bailiff's dual role should stop - Lord Carswell. Relates to conclusion of the report that the Bailiff's dual role as leader of the States and of the legal system needed to be separated, with recommendation that the Bailiff should stand down as the President of the States. Includes comments by the Bailiff Michael Birt, reference to the findings of a report by Sir Cecil Clother in 1999, and comments by Lord Carswell. • Pages 1 to 49 of The Review of the Roles of the Crown Officers, December 2010. Begins with acknowledgements, a note regarding the use of language of the Report and an introduction providing background information about the Crown Offices in Jersey. Provides details about the constitution and Terms of Reference of the Review, the historical context, details about previous reports, and outlines the role of the Bailiff. Also includes reference to the role of the Law Officers.
