Scope and Content

Reports seeks to examine the problems created by difficult pupils in mainstream schools. Includes a foreword by Mario Lundy, Chairman of the Working Party and a list of membership of the Working Party. Includes a summary of the background and approach of the Working Party, main findings, conclusions and recommendations in respect of schools, the Education Department and the Education Committee. Sections include: an introduction, overview of the approach of the Working Party, main findings, conclusions and recommendations. Also includes sections on: the whole school approach, staff development, partnerships with parents, rewards and sanctions, support services to pupils and schools, a model for support, alternative provision and motivating older reluctant pupils.
