Provides an overview of his career within the Jersey Youth Service and Children's Services, providing dates of employment and details of his roles at a number of institutions including Seaton Youth Club, St Brelade's Youth Club, Le Squez Youth Centre, Heathfield Children's Home, La Chasse Residential Family Centre and services including Placement and Support, Adoption and Fostering Sevices, Policy Development, Governance and Quality Assurance including as Programme Associate operating on behalf of Health and Social Services as part of the States' Inquiry Team. Provides background information about the Jersey Youth Service, detailing his involvement through various roles including Youth Worker, Voluntary Youth Leader and Youth Leader and developments during the course of his involvement with the Youth Service. Provides details of training, policy and guidance, multi-agency working, application and interview process, staffing issues and community matters. Also includes comments about two cases involving child protection or safeguarding concerns, including one involving Tony Watton.
