Scope and Content

Relates to a matter disclosed to Advocate Richard Falle by a client concerning a disclosure by her son that he had been sexually abused by Tony Watton whilst on a canoe trip to France. Sets out details of subsequent enquiries made by Detective Sergeant Lang and Detective Constable Duffy, referring to a conversation with another boy who was on the trip and his mother and details of an interview with Watton under caution. Records Watton's account of the trip, notes partial admission of sexual offences by Watton, Watton's denial of indecency with the boy in Jersey and assertion by Watton that he would seek immediate medical treatment, sell his canoes and stop associating with young males.
