Refers to [Witness 667's] employment at Haut de la Garenne between 1973 and 1976, starting in Claymore group when she was aged 17 on a work placement, becoming a full-time member of staff in Claymore and later working in Aviemore group. States that she never witnessed any abuse and never received any complaints of ill-treatment. Also states that she did not receive any paperwork on arrival at Haut de la Garenne and outlines her roles and responsibilities including on night shifts. Includes recollections of a number of staff including Mr [Colin] Tilbrook and Morag [Kidd/Jordan] and recollections of a number of residents. Recalls attending monthly case conferences to discuss children at Haut de la Garenne, noting that some children would be referred to more frequently for a variety of reasons. Includes recollections of specific incidents involving children, including in relation to the cells, and recalls children who were adopted or fostered. Recalls prospective foster parents taking children out for weekends. Includes comments about punishments at Haut de la Garenne, detailing understanding that caning was permitted but states that she never witnessed it.
