Scope and Content

Includes an introduction describing the financial impact for the States of rape and sexual assault and the long term effects on the victims of sexual assault, outlining the purpose of the paper regarding highlighting gaps in the SARC provision, details about the SARCs model and list of services that SARCs should provide. Includes sections which outline the need for a SARC, describe he strategic context, detail the current provision in Jersey and highlight gaps in the current provision. Sets out a proposal for the SARC to function effectively noting need for investment and funding and collaborative working with Jersey Action Against Rape and the Jersey Women's Refuge. Details assessed resource requirement and finishes with a conclusion outlining the need for and benefits of a fully functioning Sexual Assault Referral Centre.
