Includes the policy statement and outlines policy with regards to: criminal records and the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Jersey) Law 2001; levels of disclosure; other disclosures; costs of disclosures; staff recruited form overseas; portable CRB [Criminal Record Bureau] checks; declaration of convictions applying to all applicants; ID verification; decision to employ; and handling and safekeeping of the CRB disclosure checks. Includes the following appendices: Appendix 2: Extract from the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Jersey) Law 2001: Article 3 relating to rehabilitation periods for particular sentences. Appendix 3: Rehabilitation of Offenders (Jersey) Law 2001 and disclosure eligibility. Appendix 4: Valid Identity Documents. Appendix 5: The Review, Retention and Disposal of Sensitive Information. Appendix 6: Form to confirm that a disclosure check has been obtained for an employee.
