Images of the Jersey artist Edmund Blampied who is pictured with six panels which were part of Islanders' gift to HMS Jersey, for its ward room; he is also pictured standing at an easel with paint brush in hand. Blampied was holding an exhibition in New York at the time the portraits were taken [see JWP 6/5/1939 p 6 and 7]. The images were produced from the negatives depicted in Contact Sheet 10 of Red Contact File 13 from the Jersey Evening Post (JEP) Photographic Archive.

Negatives have been scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as high quality jpg files. The quality of the images is dependent on the condition of the original.
