Image of the Bailiff Alexander Coutanche being presented with a Sunshine League Diploma by Mr Rogers of the Daily Express at West's Cinema. The diploma was awarded to the Island for the largest number of recorded hours of sunshine during June, July, August and September 1937 [see JWP 19/3/1938 p 4]. The image was produced from the negatives depicted in Contact Sheet 9 of Red Contact File 8 of the Jersey Evening Post (JEP) Photographic Archive.

Negatives have been scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as high quality jpg files. The quality of the image is dependent on the condition of the original.
