Scope and Content

Includes newscuttings of: a warning by the Bailiff regarding German proclamations and official notices. Includes newscuttings of announcements concerning: the opening hours of drapers' and boot shops; new curfew hours; soup distribution and the opening of more food distribution centres; and a barley semolina recipe, the discontinutation of the issue of jam to juveniles, cooking butter ration and the next week's meat ration. Also includes a notice to fishermen regarding fishing with boats from La Rocque Harbour. Includes notes in manuscript by Mrs Sinnatt about Big Ben Beghin stopping at 6:30 on 9 May 1941.
