Scope and Content

Roy Thomas was born in St Helier on 1 January 1923. A clerk by profession, he was also a keen actor, performing in a number of productions by the Amateur Dramatic Club during the Occupation and later with the Island Players. In 1992, Roy published a book detailing escapes and attempted escapes from Jersey during the Occupation titled Lest We Forget. The collection includes manuscript copies of Lest We Forget; papers relating to the Occupation including Winter Le Brocq's 1944 poem Indictment; and papers concerning the 40th anniversary of the Liberation of Jersey in 1985.
