Images of special guests invited to stay at the Pomme d'Or Hotel for its grand reopening following its redevelopment. Pictured are Bill Owen [A-D, left], who was billeted at the hotel in May 1945 when he arrived as a member of the British liberating forces, and James Windybank, the first person to stay at the Pomme d'Or when it was opened by George Seymour in 1930, with his wife Violet [from JEP 27/05/1981 p 19].

Negatives have been scanned at 1,200 dpi and can be downloaded as high quality jpg files. The quality of the scanned image is dependent on the condition of the original.
