Image of His Excellency Admiral Sir Gresham Nicholson, shaking hands with the Dutch Water Polo team prior to an evening International Water Polo match between The Netherlands and Great Britain, held at Havre des Pas Bathing Pool. The match, which was part of the 90th anniversary celebrations of Jersey Swimming Club, was a four all draw [see JWP 20/8/1955 p 4]. Negative number JSC 35 from the Jersey Swimming Club (JSC) Subject Boxes of the Jersey Evening Post (JEP) Photographic Archive. The negative was scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as a high quality jpg file. The quality of the scanned image is dependent on the condition of the original.
