Commode disguised as a small chest of drawers
Part of a suite: facade appears to be a 4 drawer chest; drawers have brass handles and locks, fan-like pattern carved in corners with oak leaf design in the centre, stands on a solid squared base; top two drawers are hinged at the back and can be lifted as a lid to reveal a china pail with metal handle and a broken china cover with a design embossed around the rim - and a roll of "hard" toilet paper ready for use!
