Images of Edward Charles Thorne explaining how he slipped on a ladder and injured his right knee while carrying out maintenance work on a power cable supplying a set of floodlights at the Bellozanne Valley sewerage works on 18 October 1977. Mr Thorne was suing the Resources Recovery Board (RRB) for loss of wages, medical expenses and general damages, claiming that it was negligence on the RRB's part which resulted in the accident [from JEP 01/04/1981 p 11]. The Bailiff Sir Frank Ereaut, Jurats Roy Bailhache and John Vint, Advocate Charles Thacker, and the Solicitor General Philip Bailhache are amongst those pictured.
