Cour du Cattel Register. One of the divisions of the Royal Court in which the Bailiff sat with three jurats it was the court of appeal from the seigneural courts and also dealt with some criminal cases prior to 1797. Post 1797 criminal cases were heard in the newly created Poursuite Criminelles [D/Y/G1]. This court was abolished in 1862. This volume has been digitised and indexed. Bail à fin d'Héritage between Jean Ballaine and Edward Pipon eldest son and principal heir of Richard Pipon and the late Marie Ballaine his wife - the said Jean Ballaine and Marie Ballaine with Thomas Ballaine were tenants après décret [after bankruptcy] of Richard Dumaresq son of Jacques of the first party and the said Thomas Ballaine of the second party. Records the lease in perpetuity from 1 to 2 of all their rights to the tenure of Richard Dumaresq for the sum of 20 sous of rente.
