Cour du Samedi Register. The Samedi Court is the general business court in the island and covers a wide range of matters. These include bankruptcy records, naturalisations, deed polls, licensing and professional registrations. Prior to 1797 some criminal cases can be found in this court. There has never been an Admiralty court in Jersey but the Cour du Samedi would sit in such cases if needed. This volume has been indexed by name but to date the volumes are not attached. Printed copy of an agreement between Thomas Billot, George Asplet, François Durell, John Messervy and George Gaudin of the first party, Jean Mallet, Elie Billot and Thomas Cabot of the second party and other people who have affixed their signatures to the document of the third party. The parties agree to establish a Cemetery in the neighbourhood of St Martin, St Saviour and Trinity. The agreement designates a Committee to purchase land in St Martin, Vingtaine de la Quéruée joined on the North by the land belonging to the Arsenal and sets out the rules and regulations of the Cemetery and responsibilities of the Committee.
