Mr De Faye speaks about marching aross the island after liberation with mined area and armaments, exporing the bunkers, his time at Victoria College during the Occupation with stand-in masters, the Junior Training Corps, playing sports like football, hockey, cricket, cross-country, badmington and tennis, watching football match between parishes and between the Germans, the community spirit, the shops, traveling to London, working at Westminster Bank in the machine room and the counter, women working at the bank, the banks on the island after the war, motor sports, motor bikes, being a member of the Jersey Motorcycle and Light Car Club, dances, the visit of Montgomery, the remembrance day services, the increase in tourism, the battle of flowers, and the new policies of the states.

Mr Hambly speaks about the weeks leading up to the Liberation, unearthing his radio from beneath tobacco plants, school during the occupation, receiving the Red Cross parcels, the German's construction of a railway line, he describes the celebration on liberation day, going back to school after a few days off, the rationing, shopping after liberation, the clothes and shoes shortages, playing football and cricket, matches at the F.B. Fields, describes buildings that changed vocation during the occupation, the clean up of the beaches, the new shops opening, going to The Beaches on bicycles, cars used more frequently, the royal visit, the battle of the flowers, the increase in tourism, the international Road Race, the cinemas after the occupation, St Clements Parish Hall and St Clements Church, gypsies camping in St Clement after the war, radios, the Murratti cup, going on a school trip to Glasgow and the coronation.

Mr Stoodley speaks about not understanding what was different about Liberation, collecting german memorabilia, being allowed to go places he's never been, american and british soldiers, playing baseball, football and cricket, going to school and the differences with today, the influence of american and edwardian culture, talks about the fashion of the time, the introduction of jazz in Jersey, the jazz clubs, evading his parents curfew, band concert, the attitude of the police and pranks, his jobs at the harbour and at Huelin's, the new jobs during the potatoes and tomatoes season, the milk bar in Broad Street, the Muratti and the Jersey team, seeing a match of football on the television, school sports, the changes in St Helier in the 1960, Huelin's whistle, the fires after the liberation, his position in the communist party and the treatment of his leader, the controversy over the insular insurance tax, Jersey families, living in housing and the difference in attitude with today, shopping on tick, the forum cinema and the difference in seating for poor and rich people, the relashipship between childrens from different areas, various entertainment, fetes and the battle of floser, the royal visits, and the rivalry between Jersey and Guernsey.
