Mrs Syvet speaks about singing songs on Liberation day, the state of St John Hotel after the occupation, going to St John School, to the Jersey College for Girl, and to Victoria College during the occupation, helping her mother's business, her convalescence after contracting tuberculosis, meeting and marrying her husband, the dances, the parish hall, the carnivals, the elections, the battle of flowers, the fortifications and the seeing the prisoners of war marching.
