Mrs Luscombe speaks about the celebration at the Royal Square, the soldiers suprised at their conditions, the treatment of the jerrybags, the cleaning up, the arrival of supplies and the continuing rationing, the tourism and the impact on her fathers jewellery business, the changes in town and Jersey after the war, the entertainment after the war, her interest in mateur dramatics, seeing the royal wedding and the coronation on television, watching the international Road Race and the Battle of flowers, little difficulties in getting materials for her wedding, her honeymoon in Paris, visiting England and seeing bomb damages, the sympathy in England for the jersey occupation, and the welsh and breton farm workers.
