Sound recording of Noreen Syvret speaking about the Occupation and the years after. She was interviewed on 01/04/2005 by Stuart Nicolle for the Liberation to Coronation Oral History Project. Mrs Syvet speaks about singing songs on Liberation day, the state of St John Hotel after the occupation, going to St John School, to the Jersey College for Girl, and to Victoria College during the occupation, helping her mother's business, her convalescence after contracting tuberculosis, meeting and marrying her husband, the dances, the parish hall, the carnivals, the elections, the battle of flowers, the fortifications and the seeing the prisoners of war marching.
