Mr Chall speaks about working at Jersey College for Girls during the occupation which was the German Naval Hospital, going to the pier on Liberation day, looking after the garden at the JCG, gardening, the return of the post and of the evacuees, entertainment after the occupation, the cinemas, his involvement in the battles of flower, car racing, horse racing, changes in politics in the states, the building boom, General Montgomery's visit, working at the FB fields during the draught, the death of the king and decorating the town for the coronation.

Mr Dobson speak about being a member of force 135, the basic training, traveling and being stationned at different place, landing at Jersey, the ships coming to Jersey with food, the shortage on the island, the sea wall, how he met his wife, helping with the clean up, working with the Germans in Guernsey, his different stations with the army, being demobilised and going back to Jersey, and marrying his wife. Mrs Dobson speaks about the wedding preparations, the clothes and food rationing and coupons, travelling to London for their honeymoon, their first flat, their first house, having no running water, the battle of flowers , washing the clothes during the occupation, cinemas and dances. Mr Dobson speaks about the International Road Race, his job with the Oil compagny, the death of the King and the coronation.
