Impôts [Tax] Ledgers - details of taxes on alcohol brought in/going out of Jersey. Each ledger includes: A Invendu [unsold] - merchants name amount and type of alcohol and price [later ledgers include ships names]. Par Exporté/Par Invendu [exports] - merchants name date, ships name, amount of alcohol, type and price. Some ledgers have a corresponding books giving a summary for the half year of Invendus, Introductions, and Exportations - these books have been called balance ledgers in this list.
Journals imports and exports of goods brought in/going out of Jersey. Each Journal includes: Merchants names, ships names, type and amount of import/export and duty to pay. Types of imports/exports vary from Journal to Journal and include; alcohol, foods, tea, tobacco, bicycles, cars, coals, potatoes, glass, timber, explosives, etc. Some journals have a corresponding books giving a summary for the half year - these books have been called balance journals in this list.
Import Accounts - each quarter of the year is indexed by the type of import, alphabetically at the back of the volume. Imports vary enormously and include the following; barley, beer and ale, bran, bricks, cement, coal, eggs, flour, hay, gunpowder and explosives, limestone, manure, meat, onion, potatoes, pottery, salt, slates, straw, sugar, timber, tobacco and cigars, wines and spirits, horses, dogs, bicycles, paraffin, sulphuric acid, glass, maize, tea, and vehicles
