The States Assembly consists of a single chamber. The principle functions of the States are to pass laws, approve annual expenditure, determine policy, to debate issues of public importance, to consider petitions and to represent the people of Jersey.
This Archive consists of the Acts of the States Assembly including minutes, correspondence, projets de loi (laws) and reports.
It also contains minutes of States Standing and Major Committees, such as Education, Defence, Home Affairs and Finance and Economics and minutes of Minor States Committees, such as Hospital, Prison, Traffic and Impots.
Minutes of other committees and tribunals, including Howard Davis Park and Victoria College can also be found within this collection.
